SCORE/Tripoli Southern Colorado

Has been serving the Pueblo community in Colorado since 2001.  We specialize in having fun with all forms of Model Rocketry.

Whether you’re a budding beginner rocketeer or a seasoned, level 3 “go big or go home” high power fanatic who likes to punch a hole in the sky, we welcome all! Even if you don’t launch, coming out to watch (and eventually get hooked!) is a wonderful way to spend a day in a spectacularly beautiful high desert location.

Our club is here to help you every step of the way. Construction, motors, how to launch, how to recover, our club members are friendly and supportive.

We can supervise your attempt at attaining high power level status, and if you’re successful at launching and recovering, certification under either NAR or Tripoli is available. We have many members that can help you get your L1 and L2. Our L3CC (Level 3 Certification Committee) and TAP (Tripoli Technical Advisory Panel) member  is Jason Chamberlin and he’s ready to help you with your growth to become L3.

We need volunteers. If you have achieved Level 2, you can help us inspect rockets for safe flying (Range Safety Officer – RSO) or actually launch the rockets (Launch Control Officer – LCO) . Other duties during big launches, like the Chili Blaster, require more hands to handle the crowds. Please consider volunteering. Contact our club president, Jenn Chamberlin, if you are interested in being a volunteer.

Days at our launch site can be warm, sunny and calm, which makes for perfect launch conditions through the summer. We have lots of “closest to the pad” recoveries! We welcome anyone or any group with an interest in model rocketry.
